COMMITTEES

Without committee, our golf club would not function. We work as a democracy, and although sometimes time seems to drag as regards decisions, many members should remember that all the time given by the committee members is voluntary. They have no hidden agenda and as voted by us all, they have been elected to represent our best interest. All bar none represent us in this way. The committee this year has been very vocal, and have shared some differing thoughts, with every int

ention of managing the club to be the best offering in the local area and progressive in action where need be. I thank all of the committee members for their support to me this year and thank them on behalf of the club for their commitment and hard work.

A special mention for two Past Captains, who are about to leave committee after many years of service! To Danny Normile, our Treasurer for your dedication to the task (not an easy one at that) and for staying that one extra year for me, thank you. To Ian Northey, Chairman of Finance and previous Social Organiser, thank you, for all the entertainment and fun you have brought to the clubhouse, not mentioning the takings on the Sambuca shots! On behalf of all the members, be proud of what you have both contributed to the club and please enjoy “the easy living”.
