The Vets Competitions and Trophies

There are two Individual Knockout / Matchplay Competitions staged each year; the Frank Humphrey’s Trophy and the Harry Hewson Plate.

There is also the Jim Ball Trophy, this is awarded to the most consistent golfer during the year playing in the Individual Qualifying rounds.

There are also Eclectic Competitions coupled with those Individual rounds.

In May, July and August the Individual Rounds are also the competitions for the group’s Individual trophies, for instance, the Millenium Quaich, the Gerry Ranford Trophy and the Veteran’s Championship.

The Yelverton Veteran's Open

In mid-August each year the Vets stage the Yelverton Veteran’s Open. This normally attracts over 100 senior golfers from all over the South West and occasionally even further afield; the Yelverton Vets Open is considered by many to be an annual MUST PLAY event.
