We haven’t even mentioned as yet our ‘social events’.

A Ladies Night just before Christmas when we make a valiant attempt to recover some of those ‘brownie points’ that we rashly used up during the year!!

There is that special Christmas competition, our own sort of ‘Turkey Trot’ where everyone gets a prize that they can boast about when they get home!! This is followed by the presentation of the Trophies and then our AGM irrespective of the amount of wine that has been consumed!!

We celebrate Mid-Summer with another special competition day euphemistically called Captain’s Day; in the evening there is a Bar-B-Cue with our wives, partners and/or mistresses.

We celebrate this ‘summer event’ whether we are having a summer or not!!.
