VICE CAPTAIN

Many thanks to my vice Captain, Mike Ferris for his support and I wish him the best of years as Captain! I am sure you will extend to Mike the same encouragement and support as you have shown to me. Mike please enjoy and remember your year.

THAT’S ME, OVER AND OUT!

I have tried to embrace the mindset of respecting tradition, managing today and planning for the tomorrow, with examples such as the new bay windows in keeping with the clubhouse, keeping the momentum of the social events and clubhouse activities going (although Bonfire night, was nearly my last), a welcome lunch for new members, and bringing in the new club Web site which will evolve over time, helping to enhance your enjoyment of being a member of this prestigious golf club.

I must finish by thanking my wife Karen who has been a rock and so understanding over the past 12 months, especially during a very eventful year in life as well the golf club and to many a member for their kind and supportive words during my year in office, and I applaud you for bestowing me the honour of being Captain of Yelverton Golf Club, an honour that will be with me for the rest of my life.
