Head Professional

Tim McSherry is a former Devon P.G.A order of merit, West Region Club Pro and Devon Open Winner. His playing history, a member of the PGA Rules panel committee a Powakaddy service centre and Foremost Group member makes him available for all your needs. He also believes that the relationship and knowledge he has gained can give his members and visitors is a service second to none.

Coaching Professional

Steve Dougan formally Head Professional at Dartmouth G&CC and Whitsand Bay makes him a valued member of our Pro Shop staff. The Junior Academy Coach and part of the Devon Development team also enhances the service we offer.

Junior Open Coaching Day – Free Day to try golf and pick up some tips. 9 Hole Par 3 Competition culminating in free membership for either a boy or girl who shows commitment and promise.

Additional Information

We are, a Powakaddy service centre, including the new Hillbilly Terrain. We provide warranty work and servicing for all Powakaddy models and also keep parts in stock. If you need technical advice in or out of warranty we can offer this service.
We have a good stock of chargers, batteries and accessories including umbrella holders, bag covers and many more items.

Coaching

Individual group lessons are available at Yelverton with PGA Professional Tim McSherry (U18 County Coach) and Steve Dougan . Whether it’s the long game, short game, course management or fitness for golf we are here to help.

We have great facilities at Yelverton including putting chipping and pitching green’s, practice bunkers and a large practice ground. We also have one of the best indoor teaching studios using GASP systems video digital software and an achiever launch monitor.
Our Junior academy held every weekend provides lessons for the younger golfer. Skills tests are also used to help them achieve goals and they are awarded certificates for their achievements.
Tim is a junior U18 coach and Yelverton is a County Development centre.

Custom Fitting (Ping and Tour Edge Fitting Bags and Cobra Fitting Cart)

Having worked for Petron Custom fitting centres for 2 years gave me a great deal of knowledge in custom fitting for golfers of all abilities and sizes. At Yelverton we have one of the best fitting studios using an achiever launch monitor for flight, spin club and ball speed.
Custom fitting is FREE when purchasing products from us, otherwise there is a £20 charge. For this we will fit the correct make of club, length, shaft flex, lie angle , grip size and make up of set.
